Who makes the DF Series tractors Dongfeng is a large Agricultural Machinery Corporation based in China. They have been making wheel tractors since 1952. They are one of China’s largest companies with many International clients. Dongfeng tractors use the world famous China Diesel engines of Perkins design. China Diesel is the world’s largest producer of small diesel engines with over 100 factories. China Diesel engines are used worldwide whenever reliable low fuel consumption or high torque is important.
Why have I never heard of Dongfeng Like all the Japanese and Korean names that are now common place in North America no one had ever heard of them before they were introduced here. Many changes have taken place in the markets in China. Many of the factories are now owned publicly owned. These changes have opened up the manufacturers to develop their products and relationships with other countries.
Where can I buy a DF Series tractor Tractors may be purchased at many Eagle Tractors local dealers or through Eagle Tractors if no local dealer is convenient to your location.
Parts may be purchased at your local dealer or through the regional distributor (Eagle Tractors). Parts are also available through the national parts warehouse.
Why is the price so much lower than others Dongfeng tractors are made in China where labor and materials are very inexpensive. The Manufacturer DFAM has been exporting to the US for only a few years therefore they have kept the price down to be extremely competitive. Tractors in China are made to be used. The fit, finish and accessories that expensive tractors have add cost but not much working value.
Can I use standard attachments DF Series tractors have a industry standard category one 3-point hitch, that may be used with standard implements. The tractors also have a selectable 540 & 1000 RPM PTO. Most US implements use the 540 RPM.
